MCB Seychelles donates 650 dictionaries to schools

Every year since 2008, MCB Seychelles has made donations of dictionaries to public and private schools a recurrent feature of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This yearly educational programme has been entitled “My Words, My World”.
This year, MCB Seychelles has given 650 English-French dictionaries to help children shift from one language to another quicker and easier. Schools in Seychelles have also been gifted a range of artistic and educational posters in French, with water as focal point.
Muriel Morgan, Marketing and Communication Manager at MCB Seychelles, explains that during the previous years, the bank mostly focused on public schools within regions such as Anse Royale and Victoria. Two regions where MCB is present in Seychelles. However, this year, the donation has been improved with the addition of posters.
As from 1st April, 400 dictionaries will be made available to state schools and another 250 will be shared between the three private schools – Ecole Française des Seychelles, Independent School and International School Seychelles. On the other hand, 200 posters will be distributed to public schools while 50 others will be remitted to private schools.
